L. Carroll’s famous fairy tales “Alice in Wonderland” and “Alice Through the Looking Glass” and the poem “The Hunt for the Rat” (in the original “The Hunt for the Snark”) translated by the poet and translator Yuri Lifshits. The tales and poems, presented in both prose and verse, are written in an easy, lively language. Careful treatment of the original did not prevent the translator from conveying the text of L. Carroll’s works into Russian in a new way. For the cover design, a postcard with an illustration by the English artist Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) was used.
