“The Tale of Genji” (“Genji-monogatari”), the greatest monument of Japanese and world literature, was created at the turn of the 10th – 11th centuries, during the era of the formation and rapid flowering of Japanese culture. Its author is a court lady known as Murasaki Shikibu. This is the first time the monument has been published in Russian translation. Book 2 publishes the next chapters of the Tale.

The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.

Неперевершена класика японської літератури

«Повість про Гендзі» — це справжній шедевр, який переносить читача в епоху Хейан, де переплітаються емоції, політика та культура. Книга 2 продовжує розкривати глибину персонажів та їхні стосунки, занурюючи нас у світ придворних інтриг і романтичних переживань. Мурасакі Сікібу майстерно описує тонкі нюанси людських відносин, а її стиль написання вражає своєю поетичністю та емоційною насиченістю. Хоча переклад з використанням штучного інтелекту має деякі недоліки, загалом він дозволяє зберегти дух оригіналу. Незважаючи на незначні помилки, книга все ще залишається доступною і зрозумілою для сучасного читача. Рекомендую цю повість всім, хто прагне зануритися в багатий світ японської культури та літератури!
