The collection of fairy tales by the Neapolitan writer and poet Giambattista Basile (1566–1632) is one of the most striking monuments of Italian Baroque literature. Using the plot outline of folk tales, combining with them the narrative techniques of the 14th-16th century novellas, Basile creates original works that give a vivid picture of the life and customs of his time, a gallery of psychologically reliable images that do not lose their freshness even four centuries later. Some of Basile's tales served as the basis for Charles Perrault's The Tales of Mother Goose, as well as for the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.Peter Epifanov translated from ancient Greek monuments of Byzantine hymnography (Roman the Melodist, John of Damascus, Kozma Mayumsky), from French - philosophical works of Simone Veil, from Italian - poems by Giuseppe Ungaretti, Dino Campana, Antonia Pozzi, Vittorio Sereni, Pier Paolo Pasolini.

Чарівний світ казок для малих і великих!

"Казка казок, або Забава для малих хлопців" - це справжня перлина літератури, яка переносить читача у світ італійського бароко. Джамбаттіста Базиле майстерно сплітає народні казки з елементами новелли, створюючи оригінальні твори, які не лише розважають, але й вчать. Кожна казка наповнена глибоким змістом, що відображає життя та цінності свого часу, а також психологічно достовірними образами, які залишаються актуальними й сьогодні. Переклад, хоч і здійснений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, в більшості випадків якісний, що дозволяє насолоджуватися красою оригінального тексту. Хоча іноді трапляються некоректні фрази, це не заважає загальному враженню від читання. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує класичну літературу, а також батькам, які хочуть познайомити своїх дітей із чарівним світом казок, що вчать добру, справедливості та мудрості.
