Автор зумів зібрати унікальні прислів'я, приказки та каламбури, які не лише відображають дух міста, але й його багатогранну історію. Читання цієї книги - це подорож у часі, де кожен вираз розкриває нові грані петербурзької ідентичності, а також дозволяє зрозуміти, як політичні та культурні події вплинули на повсякденне життя мешканців. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, більшість перекладів виконано на високому рівні, і навіть незначні недоліки не зменшують загального враження від книги.
