Tracing the deep connections of the Slavs, Finns, Izhorians and Swedes who lived nearby since ancient times, the author shows how many legends, myths, proverbs and sayings that have become close to us have their roots in the languages of the indigenous peoples of the Neva Lowland. Вражаюче дослідження культурних коренів Петербурга!

Книга Наума Синдаловського "Петербурзький фольклор з фінсько-шведським акцентом" є справжнім відкриттям для всіх, хто цікавиться історією та культурою цього чудового міста. Автор майстерно поєднує історичні факти з фольклорними елементами, що дозволяє читачеві глибше зрозуміти, як формувався культурний ландшафт Петербурга. Особливо вражає, як Синдаловський простежує зв'язки між слов'янськими, фінськими, іжорськими та шведськими традиціями, показуючи, як ці культури переплітаються і взаємодіють. Ілюстрації в книзі додають візуальної привабливості і допомагають краще усвідомити матеріал. Хоча є деякі недоліки в перекладі, загалом, це не зменшує цінності книги. Рекомендую всім, хто хоче зануритися в багатий світ петербурзького фольклору та його історію!
