Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, the father of Russian poetry, gave us the greatest examples of poetic art. Meanwhile, few people noticed examples of “erotic” lyrics among his creative heritage. Often the demonic nature of a great poet is covered up as something shameful. However, it is precisely in this that lies his true attitude to love, which combines not only “high” but also “low calm.” “Marriage empties the soul” is a collection of unconventional lyrics by A.S. Pushkin. Having given rise to many disputes about authorship among Pushkin scholars, the texts published in this publication can excite and quite tickle your nerves. However, despite the bones of Pushkin’s studies, it is impossible not to recognize their poetry and poignancy. The publication is replete with the poet’s graphonage – unconscious sketches in the margins from the poet’s numerous manuscripts. Soviet art critic A.M. Efros - this is how he defines the content of A.S.’s illustrations. Pushkin: “...This is a diary in images, Pushkin’s visual commentary on himself, a special record of thoughts and feelings, a kind of report about people and events.” The publication contains obscene language.
