Especially when translating from ancient Greek, which is not particularly necessary in everyday communication, from which “not only everyone can translate.” This is the story of an obvious error in translating a tiny fragment of Strabo’s “Geography” into Russian. When searching for the cause of a small error, larger errors were discovered, rooted in the Renaissance, and even those that are worthy of division - you can’t invent them on purpose.
