This “autobiography without facts” is the prose of a poet or poetry in prose, the deeply lyrical reflections of a philosopher, the verbal painting of an artist who sees the very essence of things through a transparent surface for him. “The Book of Rest” is designed to hypnotize the reader and lead him into the very heart of that very “ restlessness,” that very thirst and melancholy with which all of Pessoa’s works are filled. In a new translation by Alexander Dunaev. This edition is also supplemented by notes and excerpts from letters from Fernando Pessoa.

Глибоке занурення у світ думок і почуттів

«Книга непокою» — це справжній шедевр, який відкриває перед читачем унікальний внутрішній світ Фернандо Пессоа через призму його автобіографії Бернарда Соареша. Ця книга вражає своєю глибиною, ліричністю та філософськими роздумами, які змушують задуматися про суть людського існування. Кожен афоризм, кожна думка — це маленька перлина, що виблискує в темряві буденності, запрошуючи читача до роздумів про власні переживання та емоції. Переклад Олександра Дунаєва в загальному вдало передає дух оригіналу, хоча й містить деякі недоліки, які не псують загального враження. Ця книга — не просто читання, а справжнє переживання, яке залишає слід у душі. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує глибоку літературу та хоче поринути у світ думок великого поета!
