In the second book in the Winneta series, Old Shatterhand, as a private detective, pursues the swindler Gibson, who stole the son of a New York banker. His path lies across America to the Mapimi desert on the border with Mexico. On the road, he meets the famous Westman nicknamed Old Death, who undertakes to help him in pursuit of Gibson. In the second part of the book, Old Shatterhand meets another Westman, Old Firehand, and together with Winnetou they participate in repelling the attack of the Ponca Indians on the Westmen's camp.

Неймовірна подорож у світ пригод і дружби!

Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям! У другій частині серії про Віннету Олд Шатерхенд знову вражає своїм відвагою та рішучістю, переслідуючи шахрая Гібсона через всю Америку. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу Дикого Заходу, де кожен поворот сюжету тримає в напрузі. Зустрічі з новими персонажами, такими як Олд Дет і Олд Файєрхенд, додають динаміки та емоційності, а їхня співпраця з Віннетом робить історію ще більш захопливою. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які, безумовно, можуть відволікати, загальна якість тексту та захоплюючий сюжет перекривають ці недоліки.
