Автор майстерно передає атмосферу епохи, зображуючи не лише фізичні труднощі, але й емоційні переживання персонажів. Читач відчуває їхній страх, відвагу та рішучість боротися за своє місце під сонцем. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім ідеальним, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом і глибокими персонажами.
