Heiner Müller defines the genre of this play as a memory of a revolution. In the interval between the Great French Revolution and Napoleon's rise to absolute power, three people arrive in Jamaica on a mission: the son of local slave traders Debuisson, the Breton peasant Galloudec and the dark-skinned Sasportas. They came to conduct underground propaganda activities and bring revolutionary ideas to the slave-owning island. Unfortunately, a year after the start of their activities, which did not bring large-scale success, Napoleon comes to power and their activities must be curtailed... The entire play is written in the author’s special style, reminiscent of a fever dream, a real memory mixed with symbolic and absurd images. p>
