Doctors themselves do not like to write about mistakes. But sometimes you have to do it. This book is in three parts. The first one presents the author's personal view of the problem. The second is represented by the stories of Russian cardiac surgeons about their mistakes. This is a kind of generalization of collective experience. The third part is written on the basis of publications available in the modern medical press. The book is intended for physicians, is written informally, is not overloaded with unnecessary information and is easy to read. This is by no means an entertaining read, but it is not pure scientific research either. Probably, it can be attributed to the type of descriptive treatises, undeservedly forgotten today.

Необхідна книга для медичних працівників

"Трактат про лікарські помилки" - це важливий внесок у медичну літературу, який відкриває очі на непросту, але необхідну тему. Автор сміливо підходить до питання помилок у медицині, що, як правило, залишається поза увагою. Книга складається з трьох частин, які чудово доповнюють одна одну: особистий погляд автора, реальні історії лікарів, які діляться своїм досвідом, і огляд публікацій з медичної преси. Це не просто збірка анекдотів, а глибокий аналіз, який спонукає до роздумів і саморефлексії. Я вважаю, що ця книга повинна бути в бібліотеках кожного медичного закладу, адже вона не тільки підвищує професійну свідомість лікарів, але й допомагає уникнути повторення помилок у майбутньому. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, загальна якість тексту залишається високою, а легкість читання робить його доступним для широкого кола читачів. Рекомендую всім медичним працівникам та студентам медицини!
