This book is a complete authorial version of famous documentary novel "Baba Яр about elimination of the Jewish population of Kyiv the autumn of 1941. Anatoliy Кузнецов, then a teenager, witnessed shooting of Kyiv jewries, much intermingled with people, outliving a catastrophe, collected remembrances of other contemporaries and eyewitnesses. First his novel was published in a magazine "Youth in 1966, and even then, in spite of numerous and rough censorial reductions, produced the effect of the torn bomb - so to Кузнецова about Холокост dare write nobody. However the way of authentic history of Baba Яра to the reader appeared long and difficult. In 1969 Anatoliy Кузнецов secretly took out the complete version of novel to England, where asked political refuge. In a year "Baba Яр was published in the west in an authorial release, however the Russian reader was able to become acquainted with by text without notes only after alteration.

Неперевершене свідчення трагедії

Книга "Бабин Яр" Анатолія Кузнєцова - це не просто літературний твір, а справжнє свідчення жахливої трагедії, яка сталася в Україні під час Другої світової війни. Автор, будучи підлітком, став свідком розстрілів київських євреїв, і його особистий досвід надає книзі неймовірної емоційної сили. Кузнєцов майстерно поєднує документальність із художнім викладом, що дозволяє читачеві відчути всю глибину переживань людей, які стали жертвами цього жахливого злочину. Ця книга не лише розкриває історію Бабиного Яру, але й ставить важливі питання про пам'ять, ідентичність та моральність. Я вважаю, що "Бабин Яр" повинен бути прочитаний кожним, адже він нагадує нам про важливість пам'яті та необхідність вчитися на помилках минулого.
