Ця книга - справжня знахідка для всіх любителів вестернів та історій про ковбоїв. Роберт Говард вдало передає атмосферу Техасу початку ХХ століття, створюючи яскраві образи персонажів та захоплюючі пригоди. Брек Елкінс - це не просто сильний хлопець, а добродушний герой, який завжди готовий прийти на допомогу. Його шлях до кохання та боротьба зі злом наповнені гумором і несподіваними поворотами, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Ілюстрації, які супроводжують текст, додають особливого шарму виданню, а новий переклад робить його доступним для сучасного читача. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, ця книга варта уваги і обов'язково сподобається тим, хто цінує якісну літературу з елементами пригод.
