The tragic love story of the book's hero, Hugh Person, an assistant editor-in-chief at a major American publishing house, is intertwined with the literary and personal circumstances of his colorful client Mr. R. and brings the reader closer than ever to Nabokov's “main theme.” The novel, for the first time entitled according to the authorized version of the Russian title, is published in a new translation and is accompanied by an afterword, comments and additional materials illuminating its concept. Неперевершене занурення у світ людських почуттів

Роман "Протяг з минулого" Володимира Набокова - це справжній шедевр, який змушує читача задуматися над глибокими питаннями життя, любові та творчості. Історія Х'ю Персона, його трагічна любов та складні стосунки з містером R. створюють неповторну атмосферу, в якій кожна деталь має значення. Набоков майстерно грає зі словами, створюючи образи, які залишаються в пам'яті надовго. Незважаючи на те, що текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, якість перекладу вражає, і лише незначні недоліки не затьмарюють загального враження. Ця книга - не просто роман, а справжня подорож у глибини людської душі, яка залишає по собі слід. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує літературу, що змушує думати!
