Jataka is the brightest work of ancient Indian literature, which has come down to our times as part of the Pali Buddhist canon "Tipitaka". Jatakas include a variety of stories of a fabulous, moral, instructive and spiritual nature, united both by the general line of the author’s narrative and by the personality of the narrator, whose role is played by the founder of Buddhism himself - Buddha Shakyamuni. This collection presents all currently known translations of Pali jatak into Russian.

Джатаки - справжній скарб давньоіндійської мудрості!

Ця книга є чудовим введенням у світ давньої індійської літератури та буддизму. Джатаки пропонують читачеві не лише захоплюючі сюжети, а й глибокі моральні уроки, які залишаються актуальними і в сучасному світі. Оповіді, що розповідаються від імені Будди Шакьямуні, наповнені мудрістю і спостереженнями про людську природу, що спонукає до роздумів і саморозвитку. Хоча переклад здійснювався за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в деяких місцях текст може бути не зовсім коректним, загалом якість перекладу вражає. Ця книга стане чудовим доповненням до бібліотеки кожного, хто цікавиться філософією, культурою та історією Індії. Я рекомендую її всім, хто прагне пізнати себе та світ навколо!
