Вражаюче дослідження середньовічного правосуддя!

Книга "Істинна правда" є справжнім відкриттям для всіх, хто цікавиться історією права та соціальними відносинами в епоху пізнього Середньовіччя. Автор майстерно використовує архівні документи, що дозволяє глибше зрозуміти, як функціонувала судова система у Франції XIV–XV століть. Особливо вражає детальний аналіз поведінки обвинувачених у залі суду та їхнє ставлення до влади, що дозволяє читачеві відчути атмосферу того часу. Розгляд судового ритуалу як мови правосуддя є дуже оригінальним підходом, що відкриває нові горизонти в розумінні комунікації між владою та підданими. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, загальна якість роботи вражає.
