“Monads” is one of five volumes of the “incomplete works” of Dmitry Aleksandrovich Prigov (1940–2007), the brightest representative of the poetic underground of the 1970–1980s and the artistic leader of contemporary art in the 1990–2000s, the founder of conceptualism in literature , winner of many international literary awards. Not only a poet, novelist, playwright, but also an artist, actionist, art theorist - it was not for nothing that Prigov preferred the ironic self-definition of “cultural figure.” Covering Prigov’s work from the mid-1970s to his posthumously published novel “Katya of China,” the volume includes both classic texts and new publications from the huge archive remaining after Prigov’s death. Some works are reproduced with the author’s spelling and punctuation preserved.

Вражаюче дослідження творчості генія!

Книга «Монади» – це не просто збірка творів Дмитра Пригова, а справжнє занурення в світ поетичного андеграунду, який він так майстерно створював. Цей том охоплює величезний спектр його творчості, від класичних текстів до нових публікацій, що дозволяє читачеві відчути еволюцію його думок і стилю. Пригов, як завжди, вражає своєю іронічною манерою самовираження, що робить його роботи настільки актуальними і сьогодні. Якість перекладу, хоч і має деякі недоліки, все ж дозволяє зберегти дух оригіналу, що є важливим для розуміння контексту. Ця книга стане справжнім відкриттям для тих, хто хоче глибше зрозуміти українську поезію та мистецтво 20 століття. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує літературу, що викликає роздуми і емоції!
