Вражаюча біографія, що відкриває нові горизонти!

Книга Пітера Акройда про Вілкі Коллінза стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Я завжди захоплювався творами Коллінза, такими як «Місячний камінь» і «Жінка в білому», але ця біографія дозволила мені глибше зрозуміти не лише його творчість, а й особисте життя, дружбу з Діккенсом та контекст вікторіанської Англії. Акройд вміло поєднує факти з емоційними переживаннями, що робить читання надзвичайно захопливим. Я дізнався багато нового про культурні та соціальні умови того часу, а також про те, як вони вплинули на творчість Коллінза. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які, на жаль, іноді трапляються, загальне враження від книги залишається дуже позитивним. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться літературою та історією, прочитати цю біографію!
