The Dumas of K. F. Ryleev belong to the central and most studied phenomena in civil poetry of the 1820s. Their comprehensive textual, historical and literary research has been conducted for more than a century. At the same time, in the study of thoughts, as in any scientific field, there remain controversial and unresolved issues or not fully resolved and prematurely removed from the agenda. The purpose of these notes is to draw attention to some of these issues; they relate to the text and historical and literary interpretation of individual thoughts and in the future, it seems to us, can serve as a starting point for a more in-depth analysis.
