Svetlana Vasilievna Kekova was born in 1951 on Sakhalin in the family of a military man. In childhood and youth she lived in Tambov. Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Saratov State University (1973). She was published in samizdat magazines in Leningrad (“Clocks”, “Obvodny Canal”) and Saratov (“Counterpoint”). Author of more than ten books of poems and three books of literary criticism. The previous publication in “Znamya” was “Dream on Lazarus Saturday” (No. 8, 2016). Lives in Saratov.
