Book Poor Henry
The ballad of the 19th century German poet Adelbert von Chamisso is based on the work of the same name by Hartmann von Aue, which dates back to approximately 1200. The legend tells of a knight stricken with leprosy and miraculously cured with the help of a girl who fell in love with him dearly. A narrative full of drama is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent. During the translation, the original text, written in blank verse, was rhymed as carefully as possible.
