It was as if the goose appeared every time between Dunkirk and La Panni, and whoever saw it would certainly escape.” Paul Gallico wrote this story in 1941. His fame as a writer began with it.

I once translated this wonderful book at the suggestion of Natalya Leonidovna Trauberg and Olga Neve. “The Snow Goose” was published in the magazine “Youth” (October, 1994), with a foreword by Olga Neve.
