Book Betrayal
Harold Pinter - English playwright, poet, director, actor, public figure; winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature 2005. One of the most influential British playwrights of his time. Harold Pinter’s ironic, subtle, intelligent play “Betrayal” is about the catastrophic everydayness of human existence. The only thing that binds the heroes is loneliness, absolute, desperate, monotonous, driving them crazy, depriving them of support, forcing them to commit the most ridiculous and illogical acts. Their relationship is shown in reverse perspective: from the breakup to the beginning of the relationship. The illusion of a banal love triangle explodes into absurdity. In this world, everyone betrays everyone.
