Four heroes of the play “The Collection”, the spouses James and Stella, friends Harry and Bill find out what really happened to two of them in Leeds, where they were passing through. There may or may not have been a relationship between Bill and Stella, or perhaps they never even met. The playwright is not interested in what really happened there; he is fascinated by the secret threads of human relationships. The mystery remains unsolved, and the point is not in it, but in the irrational tension hidden between short remarks, in the fundamental impossibility of establishing contact between people.
