Published in 1838, a book "The Practical owner" was three-volume guidance on a menage: from agriculture and domestic economic needs to the hunt and recipes of the traditional Russian kitchen. It is a large vault of wise, tested by eyelids advices to the owners and hostesses.In the modern reediting this book is translated in modern Russian orthography and, for comfort of readers, divided into 5 volumes. In this volume, addressed to the lovers of culinary pretentious novelties, the recipes of the ancient Russian kitchen, councils of storage of foods and secrets of preparation of domestic Wiens and cold tankards, are presented.
