Глибока та провокаційна історія про моральний вибір

"Мати і не мати" - це не просто роман про рибалку, який став контрабандистом, а глибоке дослідження соціальних проблем, які хвилюють суспільство. Гаррі Морган, простий і чесний рибалка, змушений перейти межу закону через обставини, які його оточують. Ця книга піднімає важливі питання про бідність і багатство, про те, як соціальні умови можуть змусити людину вчинити злочин. Автор майстерно малює портрети персонажів, які представляють різні соціальні верстви, і змушує читача задуматися, хто ж насправді гідний осуду. Переклад, хоча і має деякі недоліки, не заважає загальному сприйняттю твору. Ця книга залишає після себе глибокий слід і спонукає до роздумів, тому я рекомендую її всім, хто цікавиться соціальною тематикою та глибокими людськими переживаннями.
