Research by Danylo Yanevskyi, doctor of historical sciences, journalist, TV presenter - for those Ukrainians who want to know what the proclamation of the Act of Restoration of the Ukrainian State was: a victorious act of Ukrainian patriots, an intrigue of German special services or part of a well-thought-out plan of nationalists. Having analyzed the currently known documentary publications, special studies, archival materials of the funds of the Ukrainian National Museum (Chicago) and the T. Shevchenko Scientific Society (New York), the author paints an alternative to the existing picture of the creation of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, its role and place in the history of the pre-war of Europe, finds out its number, restores the names of the real leaders and inspirers, creators and gravediggers of the OUN, the forms of their "cooperation" with the special services of various countries, sources of funding. The focus of the documentary investigation is the question of the legitimacy of the Act of June 30, 1941 p., the circumstances of its birth and promulgation, the political influence on the Ukrainian national movement under the conditions of German occupation.
