Book Pit
A.I. Kuprin began writing the story "The Pit" in 1909 and completed the work six years later. The book about the life of prostitutes caused more condemnation than sympathy or understanding. The author was accused of immorality and excessive naturalism.One of the heroes of the "Pit" says: "... Яма — глубокое и провокационное произведение
Повесть А.И. Куприна "Яма" действительно оставляет сильное впечатление. Автор смело погружается в мир проституции, раскрывая его не только с точки зрения страданий, но и с точки зрения человеческой природы. Куприн описывает жизнь проституток с такой искренностью и безжалостной правдой, что читатель не может остаться равнодушным. Он показывает, как общество осуждает этих женщин, не понимая их реальных проблем и обстоятельств. Плюсы книги — это яркие образы героев и глубокая социальная критика. Однако, некоторые могут считать натурализм Куприна чрезмерным, а описания порой слишком мрачными.
