Автор детально описує становлення запорізьких козаків як значної військової сили, що викликала занепокоєння у сусідів, а також їхню роль у війнах проти Туреччини та Московської держави. Читачі можуть зануритися в епоху, коли козаки боролися за свою незалежність, і відчути дух боротьби та відваги.
