Vasyl Symonenko (1935–1963) – Ukrainian poet in his sixties and journalist – passed away at the tender age of 28. Only one book was published during the poet's lifetime. But even then, the self-published poems of Simonenko, which marked the beginning of the Ukrainian resistance movement of the 1960s and 1970s, gained great popularity. The leading theme of his work is love for Ukraine, its talentless people (and in this a direct continuation of the Shevchenko traditions). Only in independent Ukraine were the poet's poems printed in full and without censorship. In 1995, Vasyl Symonenko was posthumously awarded the State Prize of Ukraine named after T. Shevchenko.This book includes poems that were published in collections that were published during his lifetime ("Silence and Thunder") and after the poet's death: poems, poems, sonnets, ballads, fairy tales, fables, as well as individual short stories. All of them have survived the test of time and are still relevant today.

Неймовірний збірник, який розкриває перед нами величну поетичну

Ця книга - справжнє скарбниця для тих, хто цінує високу поезію та відчуває глибоке зв'язок з українською культурою. Василь Симоненко, як відомо, став одним із найяскравіших представників української літератури, і його творчість дотепер залишається актуальною та важливою для нашого народу. В цьому збірнику зібрані найкращі вірші, поеми, сонети, балади, казки, байки та інші твори поета, які пройшли випробування часом і залишаються вічно живими. Читаючи ці рядки, відчуваєш душевну глибину та мудрість, які притаманні творчості Василя Симоненка. Рекомендую цей збірник як обов'язкову для читання книгу для всіх, хто цінує велике мистецтво та українську літературу!
