"A word about Igor's regiment" is an important monument of ancient Russian cultural heritage, a historical epic created at the end of the 12th century. The main plot of the book is dedicated to the unsuccessful campaign against the Polovtsians of the Novgorod-Siversk army led by Prince Igor. However, the "Word" also mentions other events from the history of Kyivan Rus, princely feuds and battles of early times.
