The action of this novel takes place in 1896, on the eve of the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II. Mikhail, the four-year-old son of Grand Duke George Alexandrovich, was kidnapped. The kidnapper, calling himself "Dr. Lind", demands the "Count Orlov" diamond, which adorns the imperial scepter, in exchange for the prince. If the transaction does not take place, the child will be returned to the parents in parts. But without the scepter, the coronation cannot take place. Erast Petrovich Fandorin undertakes to save the honor of the monarchy.The story is told in the form of a diary on behalf of Afanasy Zyukin, the butler of Grand Duke Georgy Alexandrovich. The book recreates the tragic atmosphere of Russia at the end of the 19th century and describes the Khodynka disaster.

Вражаюча історія, що переносить у світ інтриг та небезпек!

Роман "Коронація, або Останній із романів" вражає своєю глибиною та захоплюючим сюжетом, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Дія, що розгортається на фоні важливих історичних подій, надає книзі особливого шарму. Викрадення маленького принца та вимога злочинця про повернення діаманта "граф Орлов" створює неймовірну атмосферу трилера, де кожен крок героїв може стати вирішальним. Оповідання від імені дворецького Опанаса Зюкина додає особливого колориту, адже читач отримує можливість побачити події з точки зору людини, що стоїть на службі у монархії. Хоча в тексті зустрічаються деякі недоліки перекладу, загальна якість виконання залишається високою, а сам роман є справжнім шедевром, який варто прочитати кожному, хто цікавиться історією та літературою. Рекомендую всім любителям захоплюючих історій про інтриги та пригоди!
