Вражаюче дослідження єврейської ідентичності

Книга "Ера Меркурія" Юрія Слезкина - це глибоке та проникливе дослідження, яке відкриває читачеві нові горизонти розуміння історії євреїв у сучасному світі. Автор майстерно аналізує досвід євреїв, які, залишаючись вічно чужими у своїх країнах, змушені були шукати своє місце в світі, що часто виявлявся ворожим до них. Особливо вражає, як Слезкин порівнює три "месіанські результати" - еміграцію до США, Палестини та життя в СРСР, підкреслюючи, що жоден з цих шляхів не став справжнім порятунком. Книга спонукає до роздумів про ідентичність, виживання та культурну належність, а також про те, як історичні травми формують сучасність. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, зміст книги безумовно вартий уваги.
