Creative heritage of the Russian thinker, writer and publicist Vasiliy Розанова (1856-1919) surprises the scale and many-sided nature. His original and unconventional looks to history, religion, moral, literature caused the furious polemic of contemporaries. In the years of Soviet power the name Розанова was fallen into oblivion, his labours were not printed, work did not have attracted attention researchers. Subject to pessimism, in sketches The "apocalypse of our time" (1917) of Розанов with despair and hopelessness accepts inevitability of revolutionary catastrophe, supposing her tragic completion of Russian history.
