The monograph discusses the issues of drawing up a bill that arise in practice and in the science of bill of exchange law. The procedure and rules for drawing up a bill, as well as the consequences of their non-compliance, are analyzed. The main attention is paid to the problem of legal qualification of the form of a security and its elements, the peculiarities of the form of a bill and the consequences associated with its violation. The bill details and their defects are considered in detail, the characteristics of the invalid bill are given, the reasons for the loss of bill of exchange force by the document and the features of the consequences of form defects are revealed. Based on the formulated conclusions, the author substantiates a number of proposals for improving the Russian bill of exchange and civil legislation.
