In beginning of XIX of century the German linguists brothers Якоб and William Гримм began to collect folk tales in all Europe, to save the histories orally passed from a generation in a generation. The brothers of Гримм became the authors of one of the first anthologies of хоррора.In our days, when these fairy-tales found unprecedented popularity, Нил Гейман, Type-metal of Никс, Ремси Campbell and other masters of horrors present the interpretation of classic fairy-tale plots. Each of these histories frightens and charms in its own way, but unites them one - all of them are written on the basis of the earliest, not smoothed by censorship versions of famous fairy-tales.
The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.

Чарівний світ жахів у новому виконанні!
Ця збірка "Страшні казки" - справжнє відкриття для всіх шанувальників жанру хоррор та класичних казок. Ніл Гейман, Гарт Никс, Ремси Кэмпбелл та інші автори майстерно переосмислюють відомі сюжети, надаючи їм нових, темних відтінків. Кожна історія пронизана атмосферою таємниці і страху, що робить читання справжнім зануренням у світ жахів. Я особливо вражений тим, як автори зберегли дух оригінальних казок братів Гримм, при цьому додаючи сучасні елементи, які роблять їх ще більш захопливими. Хоча переклад іноді може бути недосконалим, це не заважає насолоджуватися магією та жахом, які випромінюють ці історії. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить занурюватися у світ темряви та загадок!
