Автор, спираючись на свій багатий досвід викладання в Йельському університеті, майстерно аналізує ключові моменти від античності до Другої світової війни, використовуючи приклади видатних історичних постатей. Кожен розділ наповнений глибокими роздумами та дотепними спостереженнями, що змушують задуматися про важливість стратегії в сучасному світі.
