Цунэтомо Ямамото lived in the XVIII century in Japan. He was a samurai and served to the ruler of province Saga. Tests that a warrior was exposed to in those times were extraordinarily severe, and many samurai conducted the life in a permanent alarm before a danger to spot the noble name an improper act. When his mister died, Ямамото had intended in accordance with the requirements of honour to accomplish hara-kiri. However the new law published сегуном of Токугава, forbade ritual suicides, and Ямамото was to become a monk. He lived so long to extreme old age and had time to dictate a book, in that together collected the dogmas of honour of samurai, code of behavior, practical and spiritual guidance of warrior, - "Хагакурэ" ("Concealed in a foliage"). The way of samurai, or бусидо, implied two things: zealous study of all martial arts and special state of mind. Ямамото in the book most attention spares to the last. His discipling throw light on so different from European way of life and moral philosophy of the Japanese warrior, the special place in the world view of that occupies readiness and even aspiration to give life for the ruler is the state of mind and heart, so small acquainted to Europeans of our time.
