According to the plot of the drama, Duke Perekhilny decides to marry his daughter Katrina to a sincere and loyal suitor, but no one wants to marry the witch, considering her unworthy. Comedy shows how, in conditions of forced internal or external submission, a person can change his views and adapt to new conditions, keeping in mind the necessary universal values.
