Book The tamed shrew
"The Countess of Padua" is a comedy by the outstanding English playwright William Shakespeare, better known in Ukraine as "The Taming of the Shrew" or "The Driven Beauty". In this work, the author of historical plays and tragedies entices the audience with his humor, subtle slogans and lively dialogues. According to the plot of the drama, Duke Perekhilny decides to marry his daughter Katrina to a sincere and loyal suitor, but no one wants to marry the witch, considering her unworthy. Comedy shows how, in conditions of forced internal or external submission, a person can change his views and adapt to new conditions, keeping in mind the necessary universal values.
