Book Don Quixote's Meditations
"Meditations on Quickshire" is a philosophical treatise by Jose Ortega y Gasset, in which the author examines the role of the legendary hero Genghis Khan in the modern world. The author turns to the image of Don Quixote, considers him as a symbol of courage and faith in ideals, which can be restored in human society. Ortega y Gasset draws parallels between the world of medieval Spain and the modern world, trying to find out what changes have taken place and whether the values of the ideals of honor, heroism and truth have been preserved. "Meditations on Quickshire" is not only a reflection on the past, but also an attempt to find important lessons for understanding the present.
