Book Crito
The book "Crito" by the ancient philosopher Plato is one of his dialogical works, in which ethical issues are discussed. The dialogue takes place in a prison cell, where Crito's friend comes to convince Socrates not to commit suicide. One night after receiving the death sentence, Socrates has a conversation with his friend about moral principles and the relationship to the law, expressing his position on responsibility to society. This dialogue is a complex masterpiece of ancient Greek philosophy that leaves the reader open to many interpretations and opinions about morality and justice.
