The book "A Treatise on Dances. In which it is shown that they are, as it were, accessories and appurtenances (or things added) to fornication. Where also, among other things, it is mentioned and proved that the performances are bound and interwoven together in a series or row with them" is an interesting and provocative work that was published in 1581 under the authorship of Anonymous. With the help of arguments, the author singles out dances and performances as constituent parts of a certain social and moral context. This book challenges the reader to think about the relationship between aesthetics and ethics, entertainment and responsibility, and to understand how other aspects of life can be intertwined with moral values.
