The last people to die in Mary King's Close had been plague victims. But that was in the 1700s. Now a body has been discovered, brutally tortured and murdered in Edinburgh's buried city. Вражаючий детективний трилер, який не залишає байдужим!

"Смертельні причини" - це захоплююча книга, яка поєднує в собі елементи історії та сучасного детективу. Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруги та загадки, занурюючи читача у світ Единбурга, де історія та сучасність переплітаються у жахливих подіях. Інспектор Джон Ребус - справжній герой, який, незважаючи на свої минулі травми, готовий боротися за справедливість. Сюжет щільно заплетений, з безліччю несподіваних поворотів, які тримають в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Окремо варто відзначити якість перекладу, яка, незважаючи на деякі недоліки, все ж дозволяє насолоджуватися текстом. Рекомендую цю книгу всім любителям детективів та тих, хто цінує добре прописані персонажі та захоплюючі сюжети!
