Specimen Daysis a 2005 novel by American writer Michael Cunningham. It contains three stories: one that takes place in the past, one in the present and one in the future. Each of the three stories depicts three central, semi-consistent character-types: a young boy, a man, and a woman. Walt Whitman’s poetry is also a common thread in each of the three stories and the title is from Whitman’s own prose works.

Роман "Зразкові дні" Майкла Каннінгема - це справжня літературна симфонія, яка запрошує читача в подорож через три різні епохи, зображуючи життя трьох центральних персонажів: хлопчика, чоловіка та жінки. Кожна історія пронизана глибокими роздумами про людське існування, кохання, втрати та пошуки сенсу життя. Поезія Волта Вітмена, що проходить червоною ниткою через весь текст, надає твору особливу атмосферу та емоційний заряд. Хоча переклад з використанням штучного інтелекту іноді має недоліки, загальна якість тексту не псує враження від читання. Ця книга змушує задуматися про важливість моментів у нашому житті та про те, як минуле, сьогодення і майбутнє переплітаються між собою. Рекомендую "Зразкові дні" всім, хто цінує глибокі та змістовні літературні твори!
