The outstanding English prose writer Joseph Conrad (1857–1924) wrote about thirty books about his sea travels and adventures. A neo-romanticist, a master of psychological prose, he recreated the adventure genre in his own way and had a huge influence on the literature of the 20th century. Книга Джозефа Конрада "На мілинах" - це справжня перлина світової літератури, яка занурює читача у захоплюючий світ морських подорожей та внутрішніх переживань героїв. Конрад, як майстер психологічної прози, вміло передає емоції та думки своїх персонажів, змушуючи читача задуматися над складними моральними питаннями. Повість "Дуель" та романи "Перемога" і "На мілинах" демонструють глибину людської природи та боротьбу за виживання в умовах екстремальних ситуацій.
