Book Manifesto of Philosophy
The “Manifesto of Philosophy” by Alain Badiou (b. 1937) in a concise and energetic form represents one of the most significant events in the history of modern thought - the global “philosophy of the event”, realizing an unprecedented plan in its audacity: in the era of the notorious “end of philosophy” to do more one step and, repeating Plato’s gesture, rebuild philosophy as a universal doctrine, conditioned by the provisions of science, art, politics and love and providing them with the possibility of harmonious coexistence. As Appendixes, the publication includes the texts of the round table dedicated to the discussion of Badiou’s concepts (in which F. Lacoue-Labarthe, J. Rancière, J.-F. Lyotard) and immediately adjacent clarifications of the author’s position. The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
