Tild is a boy with wings. A hurricane brought him to the Forest Tract. Tild decided to live in the forest and made friends with forest inhabitants - the beaver Beaver, the squirrel Naushka, the chipmunk Bronya, the woodpecker Nok and others. A huge and voracious pike, Varvara, swam into the forest lake. Even Beaver was afraid of her. Tild and his friends came up with a trap to catch pike: they built a submarine and a cage top made of willow twigs. The submarine served as bait - it looked like a large crucian carp. Varvara was caught, Tild almost died, but Beaver saved him. The pike was released on the condition that it would leave the forest lake forever, and Varvara swam away.
