Чудове поєднання історії та лінгвістики!

Книга "Слова на карті" від Айзека Азімова - це справжнє відкриття для всіх, хто цікавиться географією, історією та мовою. Автор майстерно поєднує топоніміку з захоплюючими історіями, які пояснюють походження назв міст і країн, що робить читання не лише пізнавальним, а й дуже цікавим. Я дізнався багато нового про австралійський південь, австрійський схід та навіть про зв'язок Нью-Джерсі з англійським королем. Кожна історія наповнена магією минулого, і я відчував, як слова оживають на сторінках. Хоча переклад тексту за допомогою штучного інтелекту іноді має свої недоліки, загалом це не заважає насолоджуватися змістом книги. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче дізнатися більше про світ навколо нас та його мовні особливості!
